The ancient Chinese medicine system of diagnosis allows the practitioner to identify patterns of disharmony and address them before they potentially develop into more serious problems. These patterns may be emotional, energetic, physical or combinations of the three. In order to identify these patterns, the practitioner uses tools such as pulse and tongue diagnosis, interviewing the patient and observation of the skin, nails, eyes and ears. The practitioner will then apply the appropriate treatment in order to address the imbalance. The practitioner will also give advice on diet and exerciseas well as techniques that help to calm the mind and to regulate emotions.
